The PDF server

webPDF is the platform independent, Java and server based solution

  • for converting over 100 file formats into the PDF format,
  • for digitally signing of PDF documents (electronic signature),
  • for PDF/A conversion and validation of PDF documents,
  • for editing PDF documents (split, merge, rotate, ...),
  • for printing PDF documents and
  • for exporting PDF documents into various graphic formats.

By using OpenOffice.org the different file formats are converted into the PDF format, without installation or the use of the origial application.

By the use of digital certificates and digital timestamps PDF documents are signed and certified.

Several operations enable the splitting, merging, printing or exporting of PDF documents.

Due to the use of standards - as e. g. PDF/A - PDF documents can be prepared for archiving or existing PDF documents can be verified through validation.

webPDF is a J2EE application based on Apache Tomcat. There the services are available as Java webservices to any user or developer in your company. Thanks to the predefined (API-)interfaces and the J2EE architecture, you can use the service in your own applications.

Using webPDF you will not need any further third-party products for the conversion of your PDF documents. webPDF is available as a complete 'out of the box' solution (e. g. as Windows service, Linux Daemon or virtual machine).

Any application in your company that can communicate with a webservice - be it a standard application or self-development - can access the webservices and use their functionality.

Or ... you allow the users access to the server via the included portal.

Or ... you create your own or integrate the service into an existing portal.
